The sky was already turning soft shades of gold when I kicked off my sandals and stepped onto the warm sand. The waves lapped gently at the shore, steady and soothing, like the beach was breathing. I walked slowly, letting the wind tangle my hair and the salt cling to my skin. As the sun began its slow descent, the colors deepened—burnt orange, blush pink, and that magical streak of lavender that only seems to appear at sea. I sat down near the water’s edge, knees tucked to my chest, and watched the light stretch across the ocean like it was painting the world in peace.
